Hailing from Harichandanpur near Banpur in the district Khurda of Odisha, Dr. Akhaya Kumar Mishra (born in 1976) passed B.A. degree with History Honours from Godavarish Mahavidyalaya, Banpurin 1996. He obtained his M.A. degree in History with first Division in 2000, Diploma in Tourism and Indian Monuments with first division in 2001 and Ph.D. degree in 2014 from Berhampur University. Dr. Mishra is credited with three reference books, two text books and an edited book. Dr. Mishra has also published more than ten research articles in International journals and edited volumes and presented a large number of papers in international, national and state level seminar/conference
